Whenever we visit Columbia, Missouri, I like to take a little trip downtown. There are lots of lovely shops, cafes, and restaurants. I’ll share a few gems with you.
Our daughter took us to a very cool new place called Strange Donuts. It’s in this older building with great architectural detail.
Strange Donuts shares the space with Seoul Taco.
There are all sorts of interesting decor inside.
What a treat to be able to actually have a fresh gluten-free doughnut while “eating out!”
There was also a nice assortment for the gluten eaters among us.
Although Strange Donuts sells coffee, we have another place where we like to get coffee in Columbia. We were only downtown one day, so we headed off toward the cafe.
This piano reminded me of several that we’ve seen in the heart of downtown Denver, CO.
There are interesting side streets and alleys.
Bluestem is a gallery that sells the work of local craftspeople. We have often bought gifts there.
My favourite kitchen store is Tallulah’s. I always have to pop in there for a visit when I’m in town!
