So…this has kind of turned into a food blog. You’ve noticed that, too, haven’t you?
Since the first post a couple of years ago, I had planned From Our Hideaway as sort of a lifestyle blog. It was to be about the development of our Hideaway, things we do near it when we visit, and our travels. Some of my favourite gluten-free recipes were just thrown in. I did not see myself as a recipe developer. Bloggers who develop recipes test the same one over and over again until it is finally right. I didn’t think I had time for that! I had always been a recipe follower. As it turns out, all those years of following recipes have given me a useful education, and I’m really enjoying developing my own gluten-free recipes. Who knew?!
So it seems appropriate, for the focus of the blog to be clear, that I give the gluten-free recipes a website of their own.
From Our Hideaway
From Our Hideaway will remain here. If you are subscribed to the From Our Hideaway email list, I’ll send you an email when something new is happening at the property.
However, my focus now is on a new website simply named Cathy’s Gluten Free. It will be a collection of gluten-free recipes made with whole foods. Many of them will also be free from dairy, nightshades, soy, nuts, grain, and other common sensitivity-inducing foods. As has been the case here, there will be a focus on simple preparation steps.
